I am enjoying reading the profiles.Following graduation,I attended Drake University where I met/married Frank Dunn. His work took us to various Iowa/Nebraska locations before returning to Marshalltown. I began working when the youngest entered Kindergarten. In I 1998 I returned to education to acrue some IPERS and have Summer freedom. I had chosen education in the beginning,because it gave me the same school year as the children. In between, I spent 19 years, in the business community as Manpower Office Manager in Marshalltown/Iowa City and Employment Recruiter for Swift and Company.
I enjoy being with my children in their Portland,Oregon, Denver, Colorado, Orange, California, and Newton Iowa homes, and them returning here. Also, accompanying them to other locations. Most recently, a November week on the Island of Hawaii.

School Story:

The excitement of Basketball Season,Zeno's Pizza following home games,play rehearsals/performances,cast parties at Carol Houghtons, practicing band formations for our half time performances at home football games, singing in a triple trio group through Mixed Chorus

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy all the "fine arts" Also exercise class and water arobics and water walking

If you have grandchildren, what are their names and ages?

I have one birth granddaughter Nicole Ferriss Dornan age 33
One step granddaughter Jilliann Ashburn age 38

What is going on in your life since our 55th class reunion in 2013?

Following retirement in 2013 I began spending the weeks of Winter in Scottsdale Arizona. I have also been fortunate to visit Ireland in 2014 with my Winter Arizona host. Also a trip to the Island of Maui in the Summer of 2015

What are your plans between now (May 2017) and our 60th Class Reunion?

Returned to Ireland for a second visit with Winter host and this time two members of his family.

If you have great grandchildren, what are their names and ages?

I have one birth great grand daughter Dylynn Renae Dornan age 4
her half sisters Elaina Dornan age 8 and Karlye Dornan 16
A step great grand daughter Emily Ward Age 15

What did you think you would do when you finished high school and what did you actually do?

I had taken college preparitory courses in high school. When I enrolled at Drake University in 1958 i planned to major in education and become a kindergarten teacher. Instead, I married my then college sweetheart and began our family of four children. When the youngest entered kindergarten I did then enter the work force and worked 40 years thereafter both in the education and business communities.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

Although I have lived in Marshalltown steadily since 1988. I have also lived in Des Moines, Burlington, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and Norfolk Nebraska
