I was so excited to go into the website this morning and see all the people who have added their profiles. It's great.
We are also getting emails from other classes wondering how their class could do it.

Anyone who wants to create their own site can do it at www.classcreator.com.

I'm having fun with this. I encourage others to post their profiles and pictures. Beverly Wilcox's U-Tube was a riot. Burris

I found a yearbook without writing on the pictures or faded pictures - the MHS library had one. I had first called the Journalism teacher - he was missing '57 and '58 from the collection. Then my scanner went south. I'll have my new CanoScan 8800F from Amazon.com set up soon, and then all the senior pictures will be with profiles.

Saw the survey on how classmates expect to vote while working with my colleagues (here in Malaysia) to plan an international conference (see www.mes.org.my) which includes a training program for the Asian Development Bank. Being a "good Scout", I completed the two questions -- with a smile, as I would not be voting -- but only because as an Australian citizen I've already contributed to democracy by voting in a recent national election (that lead to a major change in government).

So, don't interpret my "not voting" response as evidence that a classmate is not active in local and national politics. I'm very active...only in a different country!

However we vote, our contributions are critical...even more so in the USA where voting is not required. Many of the "eyes of the world" are on participation rates in the upcoming USA election. No doubt, MHS graduates will be well represented! Enjoy, enjoy democracy.

Jerry - Thanks for the reminder from an Aussie! We talked about you at the class reunion meeting tonight and glad you're keeping in touch with your roots.

I was saddened to hear about Russ Betts. I remember from high school what a great sense of humor he had, and at the class reunion it had gotten only better.

Here's a question for classmates who live away from Marshalltown. When you come back to Marshalltown for a visit, where are the places you always go visit and foods you must eat?

PIZZA....PIZZA.....PIZZA.....silly question.
What do I go see????? You know it's the nostalgia thing..scoop the loop and pretend a bumch a us are in that ole Jeep of my families....had a huge rubber bumper so "we" could bump anyone for attention and not get hurt...ha..ha...
Everything has changed soooo much and of course seems so much smaller. Guess that happens when you live in big cities and travel the world. Yet, it is fun to see the place it all started. Since I lived in Ames and went to Iowa State I also have to stoll the campus.
It will be fun attending my FIRST class reunion this year.
Can't wait to see everyone. Will I recognize anyone?
You'll know me....
Blessings and love
Allie

THE GIRLS - hmm
I think they are Jean Eichorn, Lorraine Kuhlman, Joanne Johnston, Ruth Brenner and Janice Harvey. Am I right?

I just read in the Local TR that Steve Ridenour passed away in Cedar Falls. He will be another one to add to our "IN MEMORY" of classmates.

JoAnn - I only know for sure that Jean Eichorn is on the left. I'll put the rest of the names on. If they're wrong, somebody correct us

Restaurants come and go, but Zeno's and Maid-Rite will always be something I look forward to visiting! I miss A&W Rootbeer stand for connecting with classmates.
I love visiting this site and hearing from all of you!
